What is Q-flow?

What does workflow mean?

Workflow is a term for a business process. Its use has extended to all that is related to software tools that contribute to process automation and control.

What is a business process?

It is a structured set of tasks that collectively contribute to reach an organization’s objectives. [ISO]

The business processes of an organization are part of its culture. They are recorded and spread in procedure manuals, flow charts and even verbally.

They are the operational bases of a company, whose success strongly depends on how efficiently these processes are managed. Poor process management results in high costs, low productivity and inadequate response times in the face of opportunity as well as in the face of threats.

What is workflow software?

It is a software tool that makes it possible to control the organization’s business processes, while optimizing them, automating them and generating information in order to ensure the continuous improvement of those processes through the course of time.

What is Q-flow?

Q-flow is a Business Process Management (BPM) tool.

Often, the word “workflow” is associated with Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). EAI is the use of software to integrate software applications. EAI processes do not involve people.

Q-flow is a BPM tool: it has a high integration capability with other systems, but goes much further. Q-flow makes it possible to model and automatically execute the business processes that an organization carries out in order to reach its strategic goals. It does not aim, like EAI tools, to only solve technological problems, but rather seeks for the improvement of daily processes within the organization which involve people in addition to software applications.
